Dear Colleagues and Friends,
In my capacity as chairman of the Asia Competition Association ("ACA"), it is my great pleasure to invite you to participate in the ACA’s 2013 Annual Conference to be held on September 6, 2013 in Seoul, Korea.
As most of you would know, the ACA was established in 2008, and has since held annual conferences in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Tokyo, as well as in Seoul. In line with these conferences, this year’s conference will also focus on significant competition developments within the region from a global perspective. The conference will feature an enforcers roundtable with high ranking competition officials from China, Japan and Korea, and other sessions will cover cartels, mergers and abuse of dominance.
Among the highlights of the conference is KFTC Chairman Dae-lae Noh’s keynote speech covering major recent developments and prospects of competition policies and enforcement under the new administration. Our dinner keynote speaker is Justice Inbok Lee of the Supreme Court of Korea who will address the role of the courts in development of antitrust law in Korea, touching upon judicial review of KFTC decisions and recent developments in antitrust damages litigation in Korea.
In addition to several senior officials from China, Korea and Japan, there will be in attendance many lawyers, academics and businesses from Asia and other regions of the world. The conference will provide excellent opportunities for exploration, networking and collegial relationships.
You can register for the conference at www.asiacompetition.org. No fee is charged for the registration. Please note that seats are limited and advance registration is encouraged.
We look forward to welcoming you at the 2013 ACA annual conference.
Chairman, Asia Competition Association
